Hello Today, I will write about "ATM(Automated Teller Machine) Accident" While Traveling in France(Paris)

This incident occurred while I was using ATM at the Saint-Lazare station(I stayed at le grand hotel normandie nearest the Saint-Lazare station)

Because I Spend all the money I prepared, We decided to use ATM in Saint-Lazare station near hotel

At first I tried to withdraw from ATM at opera, but there are many homeless people (gypsy) SO....... I have to find safety Place

However, there was a situation where cash was not issued at the ATM, and money was lost from the account.

Let's briefly summarize the Accident.

1. Run out of cash, So i decided withdraw the cash using ATM

3. Because I knew the infamous Paris ATM crime in advance, I decided to use ATM in a relatively safe station.

4. I used ATM at Saint-Lazare station(The ATM is on the first floor - OrangeBank ATM)

5. I withdraw twice but was rejected(Screen shows me Transaction Cancelled)

6. So, i had to find another ATM. At that moment, I noticed that there was a text message on my cell phone.

7. The text message is that the balance has been withdrawn twice

8. I was very embarrassed because I was a foreigner, I called the card company in my country and consulted(the phone cost more than 20 euros.)

9. They said that I had to get a certificate of this situation by Orangebank

10. I don't have much time, so I decided to use the same ATM again and leave a video to keep the evidence

(for use as evidence after returning my country)

I was on the last day of the trip and was chasing time, and it was very difficult to find where OrangeBank was. Also, I do not have any guarantee that I will be able to find Korean or English speaking staff even if I go to the office

So I think if i have clear evidence, I will get a certificate based on it after returning home. .

Like the 10th item above, I have left the video to leave evidence.

As in the video, while the withdrawal is in progress, the message "Transaction Canceled" is displayed and a message saying that the mobile has been withdrawn is displayed. I want to be able to check the balance through the bank app, and I am brutally out of money.

I left the evidence, but I do not know if it is a French bank error or a domestic card company error, so I decided to contact the French bank that installed the ATM before returning home.

What to do after the incident

1. I use ATM again for leaving video evidence

2. I decided to call the local bank in France. I wanted to know if it was Card company's error or the OrangeBank's error.

3. I thought that there would be no staff who speaks Korean at the OrangeBank and I don't know how to contact staff who speaks english

4. I went to the hotel where I stayed(le grand hotel normandie)

5. I asked the hotel staff to help

A : "I used ATM at the front train station, but I did not get any cash, and the money was withdrawn from my account. Please call the bank and ask."

B :  where was the accident

A : In Saint- Lazare Station 1st floor next to 록시땅 handcream sotre

6. They told me that they were rejected and that they had not withdrawn.

7. Money has been withdrawn from my account, but the bank has rejected it, so there is nothing I can do in France.

8. The hotel staff told me it would be refund if I waited a little

9. I just returned home because I thought I could get a confirmation at any time with the right place, time, and proof.

(Since I am an IT major, I thought there would be stored in the database)

10. Anyway, I could not find the money for more than a month after returning from my home country.

I can not stay in France for a long time and I have to enjoy the trip and I have lost my time because of this incident and I think that the money is gone. I was really annoyed. 

But now I think it was a memorable expericence
